Summary
GeoXpert set out to give drone operators and geospatial service providers one platform to run their projects and collaborate with their clients. As Tech Lead and Scrum Master, took the platform from zero to its first paying customers with a small agile team.
Approach
- Cloud-native from day one — a microservices SaaS with a PWA front-end serving responsive 2D and 3D geospatial insights across mobile and desktop, with height-map rendering tuned to stay smooth on low-end devices and slow networks.
- Omni-channel data pipeline — a master/worker processing engine for geospatial data built around GDAL, with resumable uploads and parallel processing to keep large surveys moving.
- Collaboration without oversharing — co-designed a graph-based, attribute-level authorisation system so providers, clients, and third parties could work the same project under granular access control.
Outcome
First paying customers within six months of a standing start, on a platform a small team could operate and extend.
