Summary

Moonshot Compost diverts commercial food waste from landfill across five Texas metros, weighing client waste streams and reporting the impact back for ESG use. Embedded as lead engineer since June 2023 — three-plus years across every layer of the platform.

Approach

  • Public impact dashboard — rebuilt as its second generation: a server-rendered Nuxt application with community, city, and company impact views. The artefact Moonshot’s marketing and its clients’ ESG reporting run on.
  • BI stack, sole-authored — a Metabase deployment built end to end for internal reporting.
  • Next-generation platform, agentic build — sole-authoring the company’s next multi-tenant SaaS platform: Nuxt, Hono BFF, Drizzle, infrastructure-as-code across AWS and Cloudflare. Built agentically, every change gated by deterministic verification.

Outcome

Three years embedded and still active; the current platform generation sole-authored from schema to UI.
